The Starved Rock/Matthiessen Calendar is back for 2023, once again with 100% of proceeds being donated to the Starved Rock Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit with a commitment to the Parks. Last year, nature photographers raised over $3K for the parks. Read the full story here.

We are looking for photographers who will donate an image to be featured on the calendar. Would you like to have a photo of yours as the featured image for a month? If so, submit image(s) you feel would be a good fit. Images should be nature focused. Images that present historical significance will also be considered.

The Foundation and Matthew Klein Films will determine images for final inclusion based on the submissions (The name of the photographer will not be a factor in the decision-making process). Submitted and/or selected images will only be used on the physical 2023 calendar and in calendar marketing related efforts.

Photographers will be recognized digitally, in the packaging of the calendars, and on the calendar itself. The calendar will be sold at the Starved Rock Foundation Store inside of the official Visitor Center at Starved Rock State Park.

I love exploring the parks and I’m thrilled to continue this successful fundraiser for Starved Rock and Matthiessen. If you would like to be included, I do ask that you promote the fundraiser around November/December to help the Foundation’s mission of preserving the parks for others to explore and enjoy.

For consideration, upload the highest quality resolution of each photo you have on file. Images should be in landscape orientation, must be free of watermarks, and any photoshop/manipulations must be disclaimed via email to matthewklein916@yahoo.com. A committee will select the final photos for inclusion on the calendar. Please email Matthew with any questions or comments. The deadline to submit images is July 1st, 2022.
